Default really slow.

I absolutely have NO idea what's going on. To turn my screen it takes like 5 seconds because it lags so much. Takes like half of a minute to load up a map even if i was in it before. The lag is just unbearable that its not worth playing.

I did a disk defragment, did a spyware and virus check. Deleted everything i didnt need, and even tried uninstalling the game and reinstalling it. It's the only program on my computer thats lagging like a bitc*.

I have no other programs running such as AIM or Mozilla. It worked fine 4 months ago, then i quit playing for a bit because of school and i just got back on maybe a week ago and just lags like no other.

Computer Specs Are:
1 gig of ram
128mb Geforce 6600 GT Video Card
AMD Athlon 64 Processor 3500+
2.21 ghz, think that means my motherboard.

Thanks for any help!

Default don't know if this will help.

There are 3 FREE programs that you can download and run that will help with some lag. Spybot seek and destroy/Adaware SE/and Ccleaner. Just google the name and download from any site ya like. I have never experienced bad things from using these programs. I run them every other day and the 1st time is the longest, after that I can run all 3 in less than a few min.

Also, many anti-virus programs claim to do these things but fall short, it would be like asking a paramedic to to open heart surgery.

Look into a good Nic card these are things people over look when "fixing up" there comps and tend to buy a cheap 1.

Its not spyware on his PC. My ping is 42k MS on my main PC. So I got my old PC out, formatted put on GW and voila still a ping in the 20-40k MS area.

I went to my friends house and the exact same problem. Methinks an issue on ANETS side is the cause.

Meanwhile I can play other games online with a ping of ooohh say...30-40

At the moment it is showing issues between Level3 (which ANet use from memory) and GlobalCrossing.
